Shawano SYNC™: Change Happens Here
Welcome to SYNC Shawano! Our work is currently focused on supporting the Shawano School District and the community of Shawano. Since early 2026 we have implemented a new survey about
technology usage and mental health outcomes for 4th Grade and up, reviewed local data, and begun building a local community coalition of community leaders to ensure our young people are growing up with the supports they need to live their best lives.
Uriah Williams, Community Coordinator
Uriah has been our local community coordinator since January of 2026. He is a veteran of the US Army, holds his Master of Divinity degree from the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, and is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. In his free time, he likes to hunt, garden, and hike with his family. Uriah moved to the Shawano area in 2021 and has served the community in a variety of ways since then. Most related to this work, he is on the Executive Committee for the NAMI Wolf River Region Board and is trained as an Ending the Silence presenter.
